Mmmm Homemade Beignets… Not ‘poo’ as suggested by a teenager who was woken by the nice frying smells.

Easy made if you are a breadmaker – just use your sweetest bread dough – even leftover dough (like Challah or Brioche)  roll flat, sprinkle with cinnamon, cut into small squares and then fry a few at a time in 2 – 3 inches of hot oil, drain well, dredge in icing sugar and more cinnamon if that’s your taste (it is ours!).  Eat with a nice cup of coffee….Heaven!
